WORKSHOPS
Tea, hot chocolate, lollies provided to keep your energy up. Many restaurants near the venue, you are also welcome to bring lunch and eat at the venue.
Workshop session 1: 10am-12:30pm
1) “May the Force Be With You” (75min)
We’ll develop our Jedi powers and learn how to connect to ourselves and each other for better social dancing.
2) Swing Out Intensive (75min)
It’s the one thing we, as Lindy Hoppers, are always working on.
Workshop session 2: 1:30pm-4pm
Al & Leon Shim Sham (2.5 hrs)
An essential jazz routine for all Lindy Hoppers, this class will challenge us to develop our solo movement proficiency. Great as a choreography but also a wonderful way to add to our arsenal of steps for improv.
WINTER BALL with Southern Lights Big Band

1) Variations & Rhythm Play (75min)
This class is all about slicing up the moves you already know with some cool variations.
2) 6ct vs 8ct (it’s all 2s!)
We’ll explore how momentum and trajectory influence the shapes we create on the dance floor, and how to use those forces for clearer leading and following. (75mins)
AFTER PARTY at Big O’s Juke Joint
