Merry Christmas and see you at the Taste

270547_home_heroSo that’s all she wrote for 2018 classes.

Thanks to all of you for coming along and making it a great year at TasSwing!  And of course a big thank-you goes to all members of our teaching team, and anyone else that DJ’d, helped out at an event, or just did anything that promoted our little swing scene here in Hobart.

Classes will resume on the first Wednesday in February, but in the meantime, there’ll still be plenty of dancing to do over summer – first and foremost, get yourself a ticket to the New Years Eve event at the Taste of Tasmania – we’ll be there running a beginners lesson at 6:30pm, and then dancing the night away afterwards!

Class Finish and Resumption Dates

Well, the year is almost over (which means the Christmas Party is coming – see below!), and that means it’s almost time for the summer break from classes.

The last class for 2018 will be on December 12 – there will be a beginners class at 6:30pm followed by the Christmas Ice Cream Party to round out the year.

Classes will resume on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

Here’s a video example of a Mix and Match comp – similar to how we will run ours at the Christmas Party. And we will run some useful classes before that to help you shine during the competition!

Well, check out these videos below to see a great performance of the Lindy Chorus for Frankie 100! (note the videos are the same, one of them is just in sepia, if you prefer that old time look…)
