Bal Club – June 21

Bal ClubBal Club in May was so much fun we’re going to do it all again! In June, because of the Winter Swing Festival we’re going to hold Bal Club on Thursday, June 21 (ordinarily we’ll go for the last Thursday of the month). As before, we’ll start with an all levels Bal class with Tim and Shan ($12) and then there will be social dancing – although as the Rugcutters will be busy with Dark MOFO, we’ll be providing you with some DJ music! Join us as we lead you through this fast and fun dance style, perfect for the crowded dance floor. Please note class is at the Polish Club, NOT Polish Hall.

June 21 – 7:00-8:00pm – class, 8:00-9:00pm – social dancing.  In July we will revert to an earlier timeslot as the band will be back!

Not sure what balboa is? Here’s a clip – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjWQgLsyggI&feature=youtu.be

Also – if you decide you like balboa, why not also give the weekly Tuesday balboa classes a go? See the class page for details.

Winter Swing Festival – Workshops

WSF Flyer 2018 - LargeThere are three separate workshop sessions on the weekend (Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning).  Each workshop consists of two one hour and ten minute classes.  You can register for all of the workshops with a whole weekend pass, or pick and choose which workshops you want to attend!

The Saturday morning workshop will be an “All Levels” workshop, meaning that it will be suitable for folks of all dance abilities.  If you’re a new beginner this is definitely the workshop for you!  After that, the level of the subsequent workshops will increase.  If you’re currently doing either the 7:30pm or 8:30pm classes on a Wednesday night, you will be fine to do these more difficult workshops.

And the great news is that we now have all the details about each of the content these workshops will cover!  Head to the Running Sheet for all class times and workshop information.
