This is always a staple on the dance calendar – the Clarence Jazz Festival – http://www.clarenceartsandevents.net/clarence-jazz-festival/ – come along for nine days of music and dancing fun (Feb 18-26). Plus you can also see the Moonlight Aviators on Saturday the 25th, and Lindy Mob on Sunday the 26th!
The next Sweet, Sweet Swing is booked in for Sunday, February 19 at the Republic Bar and Cafe. As usual you can expect two hours of fantastic DJ music, plenty of dancing, and then an opportunity to have dinner afterwards!
PLUS we’re also going to run a blues taster class with Bibsy and Graeme! If the class is a hit, we’ll look at running blues classes more regularly!

Ever wonder what would happen if members of TasSwing, Lindy Mob and the Moonlight Aviators ever got together? Well, check out these videos below to see a great performance of the Lindy Chorus for Frankie 100! (note the videos are the same, one of them is just in sepia, if you prefer that old time look…)
It’s been about ten years since we last had t-shirts for sale, but our fabulous graphic designer, Veronica Dixon, has been hard at work, and has come up with a t-shirt line for TasSwing! You can see the options here, here, here and here.
There are a choice of designs, plus you can also pick the colour for your t-shirt (I got blue!). Prices range from $24-$27 (plus shipping).
At this stage we’re not planning on having any in class, they’ll only be available online.
