Venue Survey

As TasSwing classes have started to grow a bit this year, and we do occasionally find ourselves short on space, we’ve decided to have a think about what it is that makes a venue important to all of you.

To that end, our fantastically statistically minded teacher, Pip, has put together a survey on your venue thoughts!

You can complete the survey here – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/78WF6MK

Plus, as an incentive to complete the survey, we’re going to give out three random prizes:

– A free pass to a monthly block class of your choice.
– A free pass to Sweet, Sweet Swing on July 24.
– A free pass to Sweet, Sweet Swing on July 24.

However – as the survey is anonymous, you’ll need to let us know via the contact pages if you’d like to go into the prize draw. We’ll also have paper copies of the survey in class.

Winter Swing Festival

Winter Flyer 2015-A5Wow – what a weekend! It’s been great to see the photos on Facebook, and all the positive comments. One that particularly rang true was, “How amazing was the Town Hall?” Such a wonderful space, and such a wonderful setting! And of course we’ve also had lots of praise for our visiting teachers, Shob and Andy!

Shan and I would also like to say, “Well done!” to all of you who got up and had a go at the performance routines, and thanks to everyone who came along to any of the events on the weekend! A special thanks must of course go to our fantastic volunteers – and I hope I don’t miss anyone – Mary, Danielle, Pam, David, Reny, and of course, Tim.

Lindy Chorus Music Video

Ever wonder what would happen if members of TasSwing, Lindy Mob and the Moonlight Aviators ever got together? Well, check out these videos below to see a great performance of the Lindy Chorus for Frankie 100! (note the videos are the same, one of them is just in sepia, if you prefer that old time look…)
