Shim Sham and Jitterbug Stroll

Need to learn how to do the Shim Sham or the Jitterbug Stroll before the Clarence Jazz Festival? (Music-wise, we’ll be using Jimmie Lunceford’s “T’aint What You Do” and the “Jitterbug Stroll” respectively).

Clarence Jazz Festival 2012

The Clarence Jazz Festival is on again next week, from February 21 to 26, and you won’t want to miss the amazing line-up of bands and musicians.  PLUS Lindy Mob, Hobart’s premier swing dance performance troupe will be strutting their stuff on Sunday the 26th at the Bellerive Boardwalk.  They’ll be performing in two sets at 1:30pm and 3:00pm.Lindy Mob

AND we are looking for Shim Shammers and Jitterbug Strollers to join in the action!  If you would like to join in a group stroll with Lindy Mob at the Clarence Jazz Festival, please let us know ASAP – contact Dave, or let us know via Facebook.  The Shim Sham will be held at 1:30, and the Jitterbug Stroll at 3:00pm.  However, we need to know for sure that you will be there so we can schedule the music!

Regular Classes Are Go!

Right – this Wednesday, February 1, we get cranking with our regular classes once again.  So get yourself along to the Queens Head Cafe and Bar from 6:30pm for our level 2, level 3 and then level 1 class!  See the schedule for all the details.
