Important PSA – all classes are now CANCELLED

Just letting you know that we’ve made the difficult decision to CANCEL all TasSwing classes for the time being due to the Coronavirus pandemic.  This closure will take effect immediately, so classes tonight (March 18) will not be going ahead.

As the Tasmanian Government has now declared a Public Health Emergency, we feel it is the socially responsible thing to do in order to keep the number of new cases in Tasmania as low as possible.

Hopefully you all agree.

Please keep an eye on our website and the Facebook groups, as we’ll be in touch with more news when it comes in, and when we are ready to resume classes.

In the meantime we’ll start looking at options for video streaming solo classes to you!  So stay tuned for livestreaming classes on the Shim Sham, solo 20s Charleston, solo blues and more.

Stay safe and healthy.

COVID-19 Coronavirus update

Just letting you all know that at this stage classes are STILL ON.   As a precautionary measure though, all Wednesday classes this week will be SOLO dancing.  We will be constantly monitoring advice from the state government as to how to proceed.  Please keep an eye on this page, or our Facebook group for the latest announcements.

As a precaution though, we have cancelled Sweet, Sweet Swing (monthly Sunday social dancing) until further notice.

And of course if you don’t feel well, please stay at home.

Price changes for 2020

One thing that will be changing in 2020 is our pricing (sorry) – unfortunately it’s one of those things that has to evolve, but we have tried to keep it to a minimum.  It has also been several years since the last price increase, so hopefully you’ll understand.

So new prices for 2020 will be:

$15 per class (the third class in a night is still free though).
$12 per class for students or concession card holders (the third class in a night is free).
$120 for an 11 class pass (unchanged, and now exceptional value!)
